Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator

Measure a liquidity pool's net ROI from fees and rewards earned minus impermanent loss.

What this calculator does

The Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator estimates your result instantly from the values you enter, using standard crypto & digital assets formulas. Measure a liquidity pool's net ROI from fees and rewards earned minus impermanent loss. Calculations run in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server, and the output is an estimate for planning rather than financial advice.

About Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator

The Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator compares three user-entered dollar amounts: Amount Invested, Fees / Rewards Earned, and Impermanent Loss. It subtracts the entered Impermanent Loss from the combined Fees / Rewards Earned amount to display Net Gain, then divides Net Gain by Amount Invested and multiplies by 100 to display ROI. The sign of both outputs shows whether the supplied earnings exceed the supplied loss.

The calculator derives neither earnings nor impermanent loss. Fees / Rewards Earned is one combined control, and Impermanent Loss is entered directly as dollars rather than calculated from token prices or a price ratio. Amount Invested must be greater than zero because it is the ROI denominator; otherwise an inline error stops the callback. The form has no protocol, pool-weight, token-price, fee-rate, reward-rate, or live-data controls.

Formula & Mathematical Calculation

Net Gain = Fees / Rewards Earned − Impermanent Loss

ROI (%) = (Net Gain ÷ Amount Invested) × 100

Fees / Rewards Earned is one combined dollar input represented as a complete amount, not two independently calculated variables. Impermanent Loss is another user-entered dollar amount. Subtracting it from the combined earnings input produces Net Gain. Amount Invested is the dollar denominator used to relate that net result to supplied capital. It must be greater than zero; if it is zero or negative, the callback displays an inline error and returns no outputs. A negative Net Gain produces a negative ROI.

Calculation Example

Example: Enter Amount Invested of $10,000, Fees / Rewards Earned of $800, and Impermanent Loss of $300. The first calculation subtracts the supplied loss from the single combined earnings input: $800 − $300 = $500 Net Gain. The ROI calculation then divides $500 by $10,000 and multiplies by 100, producing 5%. The result labels display Net Gain: $500 and ROI: 5 %. Both $800 and $300 are direct user entries; the calculator does not derive fee income, reward income, or impermanent loss from protocol data, token prices, pool weights, or rates. Amount Invested is positive here, satisfying the callback’s denominator validation.

Key Benefits

  • Offsets one combined fees-and-rewards dollar amount by an entered dollar loss.
  • Relates the resulting Net Gain to user-entered invested capital.
  • Accepts an independently estimated Impermanent Loss in dollars.
  • Shows when supplied pool earnings exceed or fall below the supplied loss amount.

How to Use this Calculator

  1. Enter Amount Invested
Provide a dollar amount greater than zero for the ROI denominator.
  2. Enter Fees / Rewards Earned
Provide the complete combined dollar earnings amount in this single control.
  3. Enter Impermanent Loss
Provide the independently estimated loss in dollars, not as a percentage.
  4. Calculate
Select Calculate to view Net Gain and ROI.

Assumptions & Limitations

What the calculation assumes

  • Every value you enter is treated as an exact, known amount.
  • Rates and contributions are assumed to stay constant for the whole period unless the form asks for them separately.
  • Results use standard financial formulas and ignore fees, penalties and promotional terms that are not entered above.
  • Inflation, tax changes and market volatility are not modelled unless a field for them is provided.
  • Amounts are unit-agnostic: results are returned in the same currency you enter.

What it does not cover

  • Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator produces estimates for education and planning, not a quote, offer or professional advice.
  • Real-world outcomes differ when fees, taxes, rounding rules or provider-specific terms apply.
  • Local regulations and tax rules vary by country and change over time; verify current rules for your jurisdiction.
  • Figures are only as accurate as the inputs you supply — check them before acting on the result.
  • For decisions with lasting financial impact, confirm the numbers with a qualified professional.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Liquidity Pool ROI Calculator does not derive Impermanent Loss. The form requires the user to enter that loss directly in dollars and contains no token-price, price-ratio, pool-weight, or protocol-data controls for calculating it.

Net Gain equals the single Fees / Rewards Earned dollar input minus the entered Impermanent Loss dollar amount. The calculator does not separate fees from rewards or independently derive either component from rates or protocol activity.

ROI equals Net Gain divided by Amount Invested and multiplied by 100. Because Amount Invested is the denominator, the shipped callback requires that entry to be greater than zero before displaying either result.

A negative Net Gain appears when entered Impermanent Loss exceeds entered Fees / Rewards Earned. Since ROI uses that same Net Gain as its numerator, the percentage is also negative when the validated Amount Invested is positive.
