About Token Profit Calculator
The Token Profit Calculator accepts Buy Price per token, Sell Price per token, Quantity, and one aggregate Fees amount in dollars. It multiplies Buy Price by Quantity and adds Fees to establish Cost. It multiplies Sell Price by Quantity for proceeds, subtracts Cost to display Profit, and divides Profit by Cost to display ROI when that denominator is greater than zero.
The Fees control represents one complete dollar amount; the calculator does not separate entry and exit fees or calculate a percentage fee from either transaction value. It also does not model multiple lots, spread, slippage, taxes, changing prices, or external market data. When Cost is zero or negative, Profit still displays but ROI becomes an em dash. This basis uses only the displayed Buy Price, Sell Price, Quantity, and aggregate Fees entries.
Formula & Mathematical Calculation
Cost = Buy Price × Quantity + Fees
Proceeds = Sell Price × Quantity
Profit = Proceeds − Cost
ROI (%) = Profit ÷ Cost × 100
Buy Price and Sell Price are dollars per token, Quantity is token count, and Fees is one aggregate dollar control. Cost includes the purchase amount plus Fees. Proceeds is the sale amount before any separately modeled deductions, because none exist. Profit subtracts Cost from Proceeds. ROI uses Cost as its denominator and is displayed only when Cost is greater than zero; otherwise the callback renders an em dash while retaining Profit.
Calculation Example
Example: Enter Buy Price of $0.50 per token, Sell Price of $1.20 per token, Quantity of 1,000, and Fees of $20. Purchase value is $0.50 × 1,000 = $500, so Cost is $500 + $20 = $520. Proceeds are $1.20 × 1,000 = $1,200. Subtracting Cost gives $1,200 − $520 = $680 Profit. ROI is $680 ÷ $520 × 100 = 130.7692…%, rendered as 130.77%. The labels display Profit: $680 and ROI: 130.77 %. Fees is one aggregate dollar entry; the calculator does not split fees by trade side, apply a fee rate, model slippage, or add taxes.

Assumptions & Limitations
What the calculation assumes
- Every value you enter is treated as an exact, known amount.
- Rates and contributions are assumed to stay constant for the whole period unless the form asks for them separately.
- Results use standard financial formulas and ignore fees, penalties and promotional terms that are not entered above.
- Inflation, tax changes and market volatility are not modelled unless a field for them is provided.
- Amounts are unit-agnostic: results are returned in the same currency you enter.
What it does not cover
- Token Profit Calculator produces estimates for education and planning, not a quote, offer or professional advice.
- Real-world outcomes differ when fees, taxes, rounding rules or provider-specific terms apply.
- Local regulations and tax rules vary by country and change over time; verify current rules for your jurisdiction.
- Figures are only as accurate as the inputs you supply — check them before acting on the result.
- For decisions with lasting financial impact, confirm the numbers with a qualified professional.
