Bitcoin DCA Calculator
Model a Bitcoin dollar-cost averaging plan from the amount per purchase, number of buys, and average buy price.
What this calculator does
The Bitcoin DCA Calculator estimates your result instantly from the values you enter, using standard crypto & digital assets formulas. Model a Bitcoin dollar-cost averaging plan from the amount per purchase, number of buys, and average buy price. Calculations run in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to a server, and the output is an estimate for planning rather than financial advice.

About Bitcoin DCA Calculator
The Bitcoin DCA Calculator converts four visible entries into a simplified Bitcoin position: Amount Per Purchase, Number of Purchases, Average Buy Price, and Current Price. It multiplies the purchase amount by the integer purchase count to display Total Invested, divides that total by the entered average price to display BTC Accumulated, and values that BTC at the entered current price. The three outputs keep contributed dollars, estimated Bitcoin quantity, and current dollar value separate so each stage of the calculation remains visible.
This calculator does not model dated purchases, retrieve historical Bitcoin prices, or calculate an average price from a schedule. The user supplies the Average Buy Price directly. It also does not display profit or ROI. Its scope is narrower than a historical DCA simulation: the shipped arithmetic uses one repeated dollar amount, one integer count, and two user-entered prices without external data.
Formula & Mathematical Calculation
Total Invested = Amount Per Purchase × Number of Purchases
BTC Accumulated = Total Invested ÷ Average Buy Price
Current Value = BTC Accumulated × Current Price
Amount Per Purchase is the dollar amount assigned to each purchase. Number of Purchases is parsed as an integer before multiplication. Average Buy Price and Current Price are dollars per BTC. Total Invested is the first intermediate result, while BTC Accumulated is the second. Average Buy Price must be greater than zero because it is the divisor; otherwise the calculator displays an inline error and does not show results.
Calculation Example
Example: Enter Amount Per Purchase of $100, Number of Purchases of 52, Average Buy Price of $40,000 per BTC, and Current Price of $60,000 per BTC. First, $100 × 52 produces Total Invested of $5200. Next, $5200 ÷ $40,000 produces 0.13 BTC. Finally, 0.13 × $60,000 produces a Current Value of $7800. The shipped result labels therefore display Total Invested: $5200, BTC Accumulated: 0.13 BTC, and Current Value: $7800. These values use one user-supplied average price; the calculator does not reconstruct the prices or dates of the 52 individual purchases and does not add a profit or ROI output.
Key Benefits
- Derives total deployed capital from a repeated purchase amount and integer purchase count.
- Estimates BTC accumulated from one user-entered average buy price.
- Values the estimated BTC quantity at a separately entered current price.
- Keeps invested dollars, BTC quantity, and current dollar value as distinct outputs.
How to Use this Calculator
-
Enter Amount Per Purchase
Provide the dollar amount assigned to each repeated purchase. -
Enter Number of Purchases
Provide the purchase count; the shipped calculation parses this field as an integer. -
Enter Average Buy Price and Current Price
Provide both prices in dollars per BTC, ensuring Average Buy Price is greater than zero. -
Calculate
Select Calculate to view Total Invested, BTC Accumulated, and Current Value.
Assumptions & Limitations
What the calculation assumes
- Every value you enter is treated as an exact, known amount.
- Rates and contributions are assumed to stay constant for the whole period unless the form asks for them separately.
- Results use standard financial formulas and ignore fees, penalties and promotional terms that are not entered above.
- Inflation, tax changes and market volatility are not modelled unless a field for them is provided.
- Amounts are unit-agnostic: results are returned in the same currency you enter.
What it does not cover
- Bitcoin DCA Calculator produces estimates for education and planning, not a quote, offer or professional advice.
- Real-world outcomes differ when fees, taxes, rounding rules or provider-specific terms apply.
- Local regulations and tax rules vary by country and change over time; verify current rules for your jurisdiction.
- Figures are only as accurate as the inputs you supply — check them before acting on the result.
- For decisions with lasting financial impact, confirm the numbers with a qualified professional.
