About Business Days Calculator

The Business Days Calculator tells you how many working days sit between two dates. It counts every Monday to Friday in the range and separates them from weekend days.

Both the start and end dates are included, so a Monday-to-Friday span counts as five business days.

Formula & Mathematical Calculation

start = new Date(sraw + 'T00:00:00')

end = new Date(eraw + 'T00:00:00')

Derived directly from the verified calculation function in the tool engine.

Calculation Example

For a start date of Mon 2 June 2025 and an end date of Sun 15 June 2025:

  • Calendar days (inclusive): 14
  • Weekdays: 2–6 June (5) plus 9–13 June (5) = 10 business days
  • Weekend days: 14 − 10 = 4

The boxes show 10 Business Days, 14 Calendar Days, and 4 Weekend Days.

  • Rounding is applied for display; the underlying calculation uses your full precision.
  • Results are returned in the same units you enter, unless the tool states the output unit.

What it does not cover

  • Business Days Calculator produces a calculated result for reference and learning, not a certified or official measurement.
